Is there anything better than a new book? Besides new shoes?
The answer is, No. Obviously.
I bought three new books and I am super excited to read them. Reading is my BFF, and whenever I get a new book it feels a little bit like Christmas morning, except I’m not broke or hung over.
I threw them in the cart telling Dustin “For our honeymoon…” when really it was because the fresh, new, unread pages smelled like crack cocaine, and I’m running out of bubble bath reading material.
And really. Reading on a honeymoon? I’ll be wayyyyyyy to drunk to do any reading, other than scanning liquor menus.
I bought The Hunger Games, Water For Elephants, and The Help.
I just finished The Kid by Sapphire and I have to say, um, Holy Shit, I wasn’t expecting Happily Ever After since she wrote Precious but I was so not prepared for The Kid.
What about you? Have you read any of the books listed here? Your thoughts? And seriously, I’ll probably have read all my new books before we even go on our honeymoon…what new books should I bring for realsies?

I love to read books or just about anything. Water for Elephants is one of my favorites…shhhh I’m sure I lose man points for that statement.
Seriously? You just earned 276 Man Points for admitting that.
I loved the entire Hunger Games Trilogy and The Help. Be warned, though. Once you start Hunger Games you will forgo sleeping, eating, and just about everything else till you finish it. Might not be the best honeymoon material.
I figured as much, seeing as how I was up until 4am reading it…I knew I should have bought fire catcher at the same time.
Water For Elephants… Best. Story. Ever. My book club just had a Depression Era Circus Tea Party inspired by this book. I will get photos up on my blog this week!
Trying to get through The Help while it’s still in theaters!

You also probably also won’t be surprised to hear that the books I want to read next are the Percy Jackson series. Because nothing says guilty pleasure like a 29-year-old still reading young adult fiction.

I thought about getting a kindle but I have my eye on the new ipad…which I am assuming could double as an ereader since they pretty much run the world.
